Becoming a mother leaves no woman as it found her. It unravels her and rebuilds her. It cracks her open, takes her to her edges. It’s both beautiful and brutal, often at the same time.

Why postpartum support?
Postpartum care is for the whole family, but primarily for the mother/birthing parent. It is an acknowledgement of the deep, profound, and transformational labor that led to the creation of an entirely new family structure.
As a postpartum doula, I join families in their homes after the birth of a child. My duties, in order of importance, are:
Making sure the parent/baby dyad’s needs are meet
Facilitating an atmosphere of care and support for other members of the household
Making sure the house doesn’t fall apart.
What does that look like?
Fourth trimester support looks different for every family, but here’s what a typical shift might look like:
Arriving at your house, checking in, and listening to you describe how last night went with the baby
Hearing your birth story while I make you a nourishing meal and a pot of herbal tea with herbs especially for postpartum
Cleaning up dishes and tidying up your kitchen
Changing your sheets, taking out trash, and checking your bathroom postpartum supplies
Creating a nursing station for you with lots of snacks, water, and your phone charger within easy reach
Helping you latch your baby, troubleshooting pumping, or making a bottle of formula
Answering questions about your recovery and your baby, and referring you to experts when needed
Snuggling with baby while you/your partner shower and nap
Chatting with older siblings and showing them some extra love—they’ve got a lot going on!
Feeding your dog and giving him chin scratches
Folding a load of laundry
…and that's just one shift! My top three areas of support are sleep, emotional support, nutrition for the whole family (including basic lactation support), and generally keeping things running so that you can focus on resting and bonding, not worrying about the laundry or the dishes.
Why should I work with you?
I’ve been doing this work for a while—over 6 years and counting. In that time, I’ve served dozens of families; mostly birth support, and now leaning more into postpartum. I’m always investing in new learning opportunities so that I can offer my clients the best possible care—currently my focus is all things herbalism. And I’m a mom of two little ones, both with their own unique birth and fourth trimester stories. Simply put? I’ve been there. Postpartum has a reputation for being difficult, draining, and scary, but it doesn’t have to be! It can be raw, powerful, joyful, and beautiful. I want to make that a reality for you.
What happens when I book with you?
After our initial consult and your confirmation that you’d like to work together, you will receive a customized contract with our agreed-upon hours. Once I have that, your initial intake form, and a retainer fee, I will block off time on my calendar for you starting whenever you want after birth! You will also receive a copy of my postpartum planning workbook, a new resource that I’m excited to be able to offer my clients.
